Kason's Blessing Day

Kason was blessed when he was 6 weeks old on March 25th. All our family was here. Dad Davies flew down from Denver, the Habans drove up and my family came from Payson. Kameron, Daniel, Matt, Art, Jeremy and Mason all stood in the circle. Kameron gave such a wonderful blessing. It was such a neat experience. Afterwards we all came to our house and had lunch! We had a ton of people in our little house but it was fun to get together and be with family.

Here's Kason's "BabyGap" blessing outfit! It's the only place we could find something that would fit him!! :o)

Kason's First Baseball game

Kason got to go to a D-Backs baseball game. We loved it. It was such a perfect day for baseball! Kameron's work payed for everyone to go to a spring training game in Tucson. Kason slept pretty much the whole time but we as parents LOVED it!

Kason's Hospital Visit

So, when Kason was 1 month old we were visiting Kameron's parents in Sierra Vista. Kason hadn't been eating very much and was sleeping a LOT more than normal. Then, he threw up everywhere! So, we took his temperature and it was really high so we took him to the Emergency Room. He was admitted because he was so young and the fever was so high. He had to be in the hospital from Saturday until Tuesday! It was HORRIBLE! It was so hard watching him get an I.V. and just seeing him go through everything and not feeling good. After about a day and a half of some tylenol and antibiotics he was back to his normal self. Then they discharged us and told us everything looked great. It was not a fun weekend but, we were just glad everything turned out to be okay.

Kason's Arrival

Kason Alexander Haban was born Sunday February 11, 2007 at 2:37 a.m. - I had to be induced because I was a week overdue. I was induced with Pitocin at 11:30 a.m. Saturday the 10th ... ya I was in labor for 15 hours! It was looooong. I couldn't eat anything either so I was starving! I asked for narcotic drugs but they really do absolutely nothing. Then at 7 cm I asked for an epidural - it didn't work. By the time we realized that it didn't work I was 10 cm and ready to push (well, I wasn't ready but it was time to push) ... I pushed for 50 minutes before little Kason was born! Everything went perfect. He was a healthy little boy weighing in at 7 lbs. 10 oz. and measuring 19 1/2 inches long. It was so amazing. Even though it was painful, I would do it again in a heartbeat because it was such an amazing feeling. It was instant love. The first time I held him was amazing. He just looked in my eyes and I fell in love.

Here he is just minutes old! SO alert!!
