This post is a little past due but, I feel like it's something that I need to post about.

I'm sure many of you know about NieNie and what has happened to her and her husband and the trial that is being indured by her family. If not, please take 2 minutes to watch this video: here.

You can also browse c jane's blog for regular updates.

When I saw this on the news when it happened I was shocked. I also took solice in the fact that this family is LDS and they will have the faith and understanding they need to make it through this. I was curious to know more about the family, since they were from Mesa. I looked up online about Stephanie and came across her blog,

NieNie

What an amazing woman. I do not know her personally and I have only been a reader of her blog for a week or so, but she truly inspires me to be a better person. It is amazing how just reading about someones life can really change you.

Her outlook on life is so positive and she really has a love for others. She lives each day in the moment, because life is too short to worry about the little things. Her friends and family love her and have so many positive things to say about her. She has a radiance about her that makes me wonder what I need to do to have that too. And what her family is having to deal with now, makes the trials that me and Kameron are facing seem like nothing. Her family is facing this trial with more faith and optimism than I'm afriad I have shown in a long time - kinda puts my attitude in check.

If you can - donate HERE

And check out the NieRecovery website here:

(by clicking on the 'about nie' tab it will give you a quick overview of what happened to Stephanie and her husband, Christian)

And, since I know that all of you know how ... pray.

Pray that their children will be okay through all of this.
Pray that they will pull through.
Pray for their parents, siblings, aunts, & uncles.
Pray for their doctors.

I know, just as well as any of you, that one of the most amazing gifts we have is the power of prayer.

And lastly, count your blessings. I know I am.

July 5th...

we drove up to Payson for one of my best friends engagement party/pre-wedding reception that night. It was a fun weekend and so good to see old friends! Karilyn got married August 9th and I'm so excited for her! They are living up in Utah so it's not very often we see each other. I miss having her so close!

Here are some pics:

My mom pulled out my old rocking chair from when I was a little girl and it was just Kason's size!

On the way to the reception Kason fell asleep (the reception was like 20 minutes away) and he was NOT a happy camper when we got there!

But he warmed up to the idea and had a fun time running around, playing with Devon's (the groom) family and dancing.

So, tonight Kameron and I were in the living room, I was sitting on the computer, watching 'Jon and Kate Plus 8', and we thought that Kason was in his crib asleep because it had been quiet for about 5 minutes. Well, were we ever wrong! All of a sudden Kason comes running out of his room laughing and screeching with joy. That stinker learned to climb out of his crib!!!! It was so hilarious. We asked him to show us how he did it so we put him back in and he did it again with no problem; he would just step on his crib bumper, swing his foot over and pull himself over! Needless to say we lowered his mattress and took out his crib bumper. Now he's in bed ... and hopefully he'll be sleeping soon. Goofy kid!!!!

On a couple side notes ... my wonderul husband started a blog. Check it out here!

I haven't really said much about this because we aren't really 100% certain it's happening and I am waiting to post completely about it in a later blog. But, tomorrow we're heading to Mesa for Kameron to have an interview with Wells Fargo as a Personal Banker. We feel REALLY good about this job and we're really excited about the thought of moving to Gilbert! So, wish us luck and say a little prayer around 2:00 for us!!!!

And, I really need to get on the ball and post all the blogs I've been putting off ... soon, I promise.

4th of July

Ya, I'm that far behind on my blogging. Sorry. But I guess it's better late than never!

*
For the 4th of July we got to stay in Thatcher. We made some homemade rootbeer and BBQ'ed. Kason was pretty intrigued by the dry ice and bubbles from the rootbeer. We had a fun day just relaxing around the house spending time together.

Here we are at the fireworks - Kason loved them. He sat stilled the whole time and was a great spectator by saying, "Ooooo" and "Ahhhh" at all the right times. It was a stormy monsoon night so we were afraid we were going to be caught in a down pour of rain but, it didn't start raining until AFTER we left!

Steph got me ...

So, Stephanie tagged me but, if you read mine, don't read Alicia's - it will make me seem like an incredibly boring person.

Four Places I've Lived:
1. Mesa, AZ
2. Maumelle, Arkansas
3. Payson, AZ
4. Thatcher, AZ

Four Favorite Books:
*sorry, my reading level isn't really advanced, I've never read any classics unless I was forced to in school ...
1. Harry Potter Books
2. Twilight Books
3. Children of the Promise/Hearts of the Children books
4. My all time favorite children's book is 'Heckedy Peg' ... I used to think it would be fun to get turned into food. Plus, the pictures are gorgeous - if you've never read it, you seriously have to. It's awesome. Look, you can get it here for only $7.00 - buy it, you won't regret it.

Four Favorite Movies:
1. Sound of Music - except for the part where they sing 'Climb Every Mountain'
2. Mulan
3. Saving Private Ryan (yes, yes I know it's rated R but, if you've seen it I'm pretty sure it's on your "favorites list" and if you haven't you have no right to judge me ... it really is that good)
4. Italian Job

Four Embarrassing Facts About Me:
1. I am afraid of the dark too Steph. I HATE going outside at night because I always think someone is going to be following me.
2. My bathroom is disgusting and could really use a scrub down ... I'm just too lazy to do it.
3. I still haven't lost all my baby weight from Kason's pregnancy - he just turned 18 months and I really think I should do something about it.
4. I secretly wish I was a gymnast or an ice skater so I could compete in the Olympics - I get the urge to start training every 2 years during the Olympics.

Four Dreams of Mine:
1. To be a non-annoying, fun yet strict mom with incredibly well behaved, talented, good-looking & well dressed children. Is that too much to ask?
2. TRAVEL! I love to travel anywhere, it's so fun to see other parts of the world.
3. Own my own business - lately I've been thinking along the lines of home decor ... think of how cute my house would be!
4. Go on a mission with Kameron when we get older.

Four Pet Peeves:
1. People who don't control their children in public (I know all kids have tantrums in public, that's not what I'm talking about because then I would be a hypocrite ...)
2. Liars
3. When people say they're going to do something and they don't
4. Not having the money for the things I want

Four things that make me Really Happy:
1. Kameron - he loves me alot, alot. I love that.
2. Kason - especially when he learns new things, or does funny stuff. But not so much when he pulls of his diaper and runs around the house naked screaming.
3. Chocolate - especially See's Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cream - if you ever make me mad, you can buy me some of these and I'll forgive you.
4. Shopping - for anything. I love it.

See I told you I wasn't as interesting as Alicia and for that I apologize.

Do it if you wish ... leave me a comment if you do because I'll want to read it.

Bitter Sweet ...

Kason's first official day of church nursery was August 3rd. It was so wonderful! He didn't even care that we left - he waved bye and ran to find a toy. Thank heavens for that! And everytime we go pick him up they tell us he was really good ~ so hopefully this trend keeps up!

It's nice to have him in nursery because I can actually pay attention again but it's also sad because he really is growing up! I can't believe he's already 18 months old! The past year and a half has gone by so fast! He is such a fun kid and we love having him around!!

Here are a couple pictures before we headed to church:

Jobs ... Anyone?

Does anybody know of ANY jobs in the valley that are open??
Pays good, decent hours, good company.

Kameron can do anything - he's like a
"jack of all trades"
... seriously.

oh, but he cannot work outside for extended periods of time.

ANY help is appreciated!!
