What is WRONG with people?! This article brings tears to me eyes and makes me sick to my stomach. How could you even think about treating a child like this?! I hope they rot in jail for a really really long time.

Kids, Please?

My in-laws house has an elementary school right outside the backyard and the room that we stay in doesn't have a screen on the window. Kason loves to climb up on the chair and watch the kids playing during recess. The kids are really loud so, anytime he hears them he asks, "kids, please?"

He loves it! Sometimes the kids will wave at him and he gets pretty excited.

Kason won't be 2 until the 11th ... but he sure acts like he's 2! My mom always says, "they're lucky they're so cute at this age or they wouldn't get to see the age of 3!" ... and I have to agree!

Lesson Learned.

Kameron and I got to go to the temple on January 10. When we walked inside, the temple worker asked us if we wanted to do sealings. We decided we would and I am so glad that he asked us because I learned a huge lesson that day...

The night before I had a dream that Kameron and I were in the Celestial Room. We were just sitting there for awhile when all of a sudden, Kason was there with us. He said, "It's okay Mommy, you'll be fine. I get to see Jesus now. I love you." And then he was gone.

Needless to say, it freaked me out!! The whole time we were in the temple I was so paranoid that something had happened to Kason. As soon as we were done with our sealings and we were spending some time in the Celestial Room I told Kameron about my dream. He assured me that Kason was fine but, told me we could leave so we could call and check up on him.

The moment we stepped outside of the temple we called and sure enough, he was fine. We talked to him for a bit on the phone & I felt a huge relief knowing that he was okay.

I was questioning why I had had this experience. And I realized that maybe I haven't been very grateful for my eternal family, perhaps I've taken it for granted. I don't think I really understood the amazing blessing that having an eternal family is.
As we were in the Sealing Room, sealing family's together - I invisioned them, sitting across the room, watching their family become eternal and smiling as they turn to their spouse and their children and embracing each other in a family hug. These families that we sealed together have waited for years to have the blessing that I live with everyday. Brother Pew said something that brought tears to my eyes and sent chills down my spine ... he said that the families that we sealed together that day will rush to us when we get to heaven and thank us, over and over again for giving them the blessing of an eternal family.

I learned that day that I couldn't live without my two boys. They mean the world to me. And I need to be grateful everyday that we are blessed to be an eternal family because if something were to happen, I wouldn't have to lose them. I would know that we are a forever family, and for that I am eternally grateful.

One nice thing about Sierra Vista is the parks!!
They have lots of nice little parks.
The day we went it was windy and FREEZING so we didn't stay long but, Kason still got to have lots of fun! It's fun that Kason is finally at the age where he enjoys the playground equipment!

New Years

For New Years we headed up to Payson to spend it with my family. On the way there we stopped to look at the Temple Lights. Kason loved all the "pretty lights!" - the weather was so nice so we just walked around enjoying the cool evening.

For New Year's we went to bed at 11:00 ... exciting huh? We couldn't even make it to midnight!

We left to come home New Year's day. The drive between Payson and Sierra Vista is around 4 hours so it's LONG. We broke it up going home by stopping in Casa Grande and getting some In-n-Out.

Twix the Cat

When I lived at home (I can't remember how old I was) I convinced my mom to let me get a cat. So, we went to the animal shelter and picked one out. I named the cat Twix. Well, the cat and I grew older and eventually I moved out of the house, but the cat didn't. So, my poor mother has had to deal with Twix the Cat for all these years. He's kind of an annoying cat and my brothers h-a-t-e him. But, Kason ... L-O-V-E-S Twix! On the flip side, Twix isn't a big fan of Kason.

This is a rare occasion - Kason and Twix hanging out.

Tombstone

On Monday, December 29, we went to Tombstone with my dad and brothers. We got there kinda late in the day since we were moving all morning but, it was fun to walk around and see all the people dressed up and window shop some. We even got a Sasparilla! This was my first time in Tombstone and it was pretty fun, we were just shocked at how expensive everything was! We're going to have to save up some extra money for our next trip!!

These are just a few funny pictures I've taken over the past month or so, Kason has such a funny personality - it's so fun watching him grow and learn new things!
Chillin' on Mom and Dad's bed - talking to himself in the mirror ...

All bundled up at our yard sale ... he reminded me of the boy on A Christmas Story - because he could barely move!!

When we first moved to Sierra Vista church was at 1:00 which is right when Kason goes down for his nap. The first Sunday he fell asleep at church but the second Sunday while I was getting ready, he asked Kam for his blanket, laid down right in front of the tv and fell asleep! It was SO cute!

There are no words to explain. Kameron and I were laughing so hard when we went to check on Kason one night and this is how he was sleeping!!

The Big Move

The weekend that we moved was so hectic ... as moving always is.
But, we wake up Friday morning (12/26) to rainy, cold, windy weather ... it was miserable!!

Then, we go to pick up the U-Haul and it was TEENY. I knew that all our stuff would never fit in there. So, we loaded up some stuff on Friday and finished packing up the house. Then, Friday night it starts SNOWING! When we woke up Saturday morning there was a light coating of snow on the ground and ice all over our patio.

Some guys from the ward came over at 9 to help move all the big stuff and they were having to pour hot water all over the patio to melt the ice. It was horrible. The Warrens took Kason for us so we could actually get stuff done (thanks again guys, you were lifesavers!!!). And we just packed and loaded all day. After the U-Haul was packed to the MAX, we still had one whole room filled with stuff that we couldn't fit. So, the following Monday we loaded up my dad's truck, a trailer and my brother's truck and finally got all of our stuff here to Sierra Vista!!!
I guess we just have too much stuff!! But, we made to Sierra Vista with all of our stuff, so we're grateful for that. I miss having my things and I hate digging through random boxes trying to find what I need but, hopefully the months that we're here will go quickly so I can have my own house and all of my stuff back!!

Here are some pictures from the move and the snow...

Thank you SO much to everyone who helped in anyway with our move, especially my mom who came down and help and my dad and brothers who let us use their trucks. I can't wait until I get to the day where I KNOW I will never move again!

Singin' his heart out!

Kason loves singing and this is one of his favorites!
(it's kinda quiet so, if you want to hear it good just pause our music at the bottom :o)

(sorry for some reason I can't get it posted so, if you want go check it out on youtube!)

Prayers

Just recently we've been helping Kason say his own prayers. They melt my heart!
His prayers usually sound something like this ...

"Hebly Fader...
Bessings.
Mom.
Dad.
Papas.
Sleep.
Safe.

Amen."

When he's done he is so proud of himself!
I love it!

-----

Remember my Christmas WishList?? Well, I guess I'm spoiled because I got everything on my list except for a gift certificate to DownEast Basics.

Here's my loot:
Photobucket

I felt so spoiled this year! This doesn't even include the gifts from my family! My dad got us a DVD player for the car which is HEAVEN! He also got me a bike trailer which we LOVE using & a sweet little MP3 Player that I've been wanting! And with a gift certificate to Target that he got us I got a new bike!
My brother, Jeremy, got us one of those blankets that we can pick a picture to put on it! I'm excited for that!
And my mom got us tickets to see WICKED in June! I can't wait!
Then, Jesse got us gift certificates and he got Kason a Leap Frog Little Leaps game - which he LOVES!!
Kameron got a TomTom GPS and a new laptop. Kason got all sorts of Thomas the Train stuff, Wiggles DVD's, his bike (which he wants to ride everyday!), and a swing.

We were very spoiled and blessed this year!!

As a side note ... I would be using my photoshop but, I can't because our wonderful little toddler threw a toy (we think) at my laptop and broke the LCD. So, once I get the screen fixed I'll be photoshopping up a storm!!

We had a wonderful Christmas - I can't believe it's already over. I hate how fast it comes and goes!!

Christmas Catch-up

My blog has been dead lately - sorry!! I have a ton to post so hopefully I can get it all done!!

Here are some pictures from our ward Christmas party on December 18.
Kason got to see Santa, and he just sat there wondering why he was sitting on some strange man's lap. He was more excited about the goodie bag than anything else. This ward party was our last ward activity before we moved :o(

Anyways - here are a few pictures from the party:
