But, I don't wanna grow up!

Kameron and I are HUGE Harry Potter fans. I guess we just don't wanna grow up! But, we were very grateful to my mom who came down for a visit and babysat Kason while we were able to go see Harry Potter: The Order of the Phoenix. We loved it! In fact we want to go see it AGAIN! It was VERY well done. Funny, emotional, entertaining, action-packed! It was amazing. I love all the movies but this one exceeded the others by far.

I am re-reading the "Order of the Phoenix" and Kameron is re-reading the "Half-Blood Prince" ... Hopefully I can get through 5 & 6 before 7 comes out!! I think I would just be too lost if I just jumped in a read the 7th book. I don't remember the 6th at all!!! It's nice because it gives me something to do during the day while Kason is sleeping and I don't feel like doing housework! We are excited and sad about the final book of the Harry Potter series. It's sad to see something come to and end.


Kason enjoys reading too. He loves this book of "Baby Faces!"

Recent Events

Kameron turned 27! What old man! We had a good day. Kason gave us a run for our money and was SO cranky all day. He's been teething bad lately so, I think that was the culprit. Here's Kameron's birthday!!

Kason had his first taste of food other than rice and oatmeal cereal. SWEET POTATOES! He loved them. In fact he ate a whole jar his first time!! Here's his first taste ...

Working on the computer the other day, I was holding Kason and next thing I knew ... he was dreaming! He must have been super tired!!

The most recent Arizona Hurricane happened in our house! This boy really knows how to make a mess!! I'm so suprised at how something so small and sweet can make such a BIG mess!!

Growing up!

Kameron turns 27 tomorrow. I have NO idea what to get him. We went out to eat at R&R on Thursday night for his b-day and he says he doesn't want anything but, he deserves something. Any ideas? There's a CD he's been wanting ... maybe that? I hate shopping for gifts. I wish I was one of those really creative people that always gave the perfect gift. They always seem to know the deep down wishes of everyone and give the exact gift someone wants. Oh well.

Well, our lazy, sit on your butt all day parenting has finally come to an end. Kason is mobile. Yup. He rolls. He's good at it too. I put him down on his blanket in the middle of the room and the next thing I know - he's on the other side of the room! But, his favorite thing is ... making messes. He's discovered how fun it is!! And I know he's going to be crawling before we know it. He is getting so close to that "rock back and forth on my hands and knees" stage. So ... I guess it's officially time to babyproof!!

And ... we shaved our dog. He was getting really matted and dirty so, instead of paying someone to do it, we just went for it! It turned out pretty good. Especially for us not being dog groomers. He looks like a completely different dog. I'm sure it feels better too. Especially in this 100+ degree weather!

4th of July!

We went to Sierra Vista for the 4th of July. Kameron's home ward has a huge breakfast every year so we left early enough to make it to that. It was a really nice relaxing day. Then we came home early enough to get Kason to bed. We skipped the fireworks - I figured it would just scare Kason. So, it was a fun 1st 4th of July for Kason!!

Father's Day

Kameron had his first Father's Day! It was a fun relaxing day. Kason was really good for us and Kameron just relaxed all day and watch golf.

I woke up early to make crepes. I'd never made them before so I was impressed with how good they turned out. They were yummy!! And then Kameron BBQ'd for dinner.

I hope he knows how much I appreciate all he does for our family. He's such a hard worker and is VERY giving and understanding of others. He is such a wonderful dad to Kason and I love to peek around the corners when they're having "boy time" ... he loves his son so much and I love watching them spend time together. He always puts others first and is very selfless. I love him so very much, I don't think I express it enough but I just hope he knows how much he means to me.

So, I started something called CouponSense. I love it! It's a program where they take the ads from all the local grocery stores and then match them up with coupons that you have. So, for example ... if toothpaste is on sale at Safeway for $1.00 and two weeks ago I got a coupon for $1.00 off toothpaste ... IT'S FREE! Our pantry is STOCKED with yummy food and the amount we spend on food has dropped like 50%!! It's lots of fun going shopping now, before it was more like a chore. Kameron loves it too because there is always something to eat!!

This is just a FEW of the items I got from a trip to Bashas' ... I think I spent like $13.00 and saved like $60.00

4 months

Kason's 4th month has been busy busy busy!! Lots of milestones and things going on.

Uncle Dan left on his mission to Portland, Oregon (Spanish Speaking) and while we were there for his farewell, Kason discovered how entertaining newspaper can be!!





We also started solids!! He loves 'em! So far he's only had oatmeal and rice cereal but, he will eat a full bowl for breakfast and lunch! It is a mess but, lots and lots of fun!

At his 4 month check up he weighed 14 lbs. 3 oz. and was 24 1/2 inches. Even though he's growing ... he still in newborn and 0-3 month clothes!! Everything else is just HUGE!

WATER BABY!!

Grandpa Davies was down from Colorado and had rented a hotel room so, we decided to take Kason swimming!! HE LOVED IT!! At first it was a little cold but, once he warmed up he enjoyed it. And just a week ago we went swimming again and he was laughing and splashing and having a blast!! A pool is a definate purchase for next summer. He is a big time water baby!

Mother's Day

I got to have my first official Mother's Day this year. Although it didn't end up as good as I thought, I still enjoyed it. Poor Kameron was up all night sick and throwing up so, he wanted to sleep all day. And Kason was a CRANKY all day. So, Kameron brought him home early from church. Atleast I got to have a baby-free Relief Society!! I guess it's not the material things you get on Mother's Day it's the blessing of actually being able to be a mom. And I am VERY grateful for that blessing and I enjoy it more and more each day.

3 TV

3 TV's Good Morning Arizona show came to Safford for their "Road Trip" so, we got up bright and early and went to see them!! It was crazy how many people were there!! We had fun watching them and even standing in the crowds to be on TV. It was a fun morning!!
