The other day Kason and I were at the Post Office and there were two gentlemen in front of us. One of them was obviously a soldier, with his hair cut and his manuerisms. The other one ended up being the father of a soldier who was serving in Iraq as a scouter.
I listened to them talk about his son; this was his second tour in Iraq and he had been serving our country for 6 years. His tour would most likely be brought home early only to be prepped again and sent back out to Kuwait or some other country.
I held my little boy in my arms and tears came to my eyes. I wanted to applaud this father who has sent his son to Iraq, not once but two times, to fight for our country. I wanted to thank him for allowing his son to defend our freedom. I felt like he deserved the world.
I am grateful for the country that I live in. And I am grateful for those who are so willing to protect this great country. And I am grateful for those who have sacrified their lives so that I can live mine.
So, to all those serving in the Armed Forces,
